In the spiritually vibrant region of Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana, the auspicious Bhoomi Puja ceremony for the installation of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas at Sri Sri Sri Punyalingeswara Swamy Kshetram was performed with grandeur and deep devotion. The event took place during a highly favorable time, sanctified by the recitation of Vedic scriptures by the temple priest and graced by divine energy.
Presence of Ashram Founders and Sacred Rituals
The founders of Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, Sri Venerable Gattu Shankar, and his wife Smt. Sravani Shankar, and their son Gattu Santosh took part in the sacred ceremony.
Shankar Garu initiated the holy ritual by performing Bhoomi Puja on the site designated for the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, invoking the blessings of Lord Maheshwara for immense strength and divine protection.
In a deeply symbolic act:
Shankar Garu took the honor of receiving the first handful of sacred soil.
Sravani Garu received the right to touch and hold that soil.
Santosh Garu had the blessing of lifting it—marking the unity of devotion across generations.

Installation of Sacred Jyotirlingas
These included the Somanatha Jyotirlinga, Srisailam Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga, Mahakaleshwara Jyotirlinga of Madhya Pradesh, Omkareshwara Jyotirlinga, and Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga. Meticulously crafted and spiritually aligned, each statue stands as a visual and spiritual masterpiece, offering a profound experience to every devotee who beholds them.
The Punya Bhoomi Puja, performed with deep reverence and unwavering devotion, was not only a ritual of sanctification but also a heartfelt offering for the well-being of devotees and the glorification of Lord Shiva—the supreme deity who bestows moksha (liberation) and eternal peace. This sacred act reaffirmed the temple’s mission to be a center of spiritual upliftment and universal blessings.
Punya Bhoomi Puja: A Spiritual Gift to Humanity
This sacred Bhoomi Puja marks a significant milestone in the ongoing ‘Punya Murthy Seva’, which supports daily meals for over 600 mentally challenged and abandoned individuals at Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam. It stands as a shining symbol of both devotion and service to humanity.
A Prayer for Universal Well-being
The Sri Sri Sri Punya Lingeshwara Swamy Kshetra was envisioned as a divine force to spread the supreme Lord’s grace across the world. The temple management prays that Shiva’s eternal blessings bring strength, healing, and salvation to all.
Om Sri Punya Lingeshwara Swamyye Namah.
