Amma… The Word That Holds a Universe
“Amma…” just two gentle syllables, yet within them lies a universe of meaning. In that one word, we find boundless love, unmatched sacrifice, endless patience, and deep compassion. No poem, no scripture, no language in the world can truly capture the greatness of a mother. She is beyond words she is a feeling, a force, a foundation.
From the moment we are born, our mother becomes our world. She holds us, guides us, nurtures us, and shapes our very being. In every step of life whether in joy or sorrow her presence is the light that shows us the way. Truly, every mother is a glowing lamp in her child’s life.
But fate, at times, can be cruel.
While many of us are blessed to have our mothers with us, there are some who are not so fortunate. In Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, a place called “Amma Nanna Orphanage” shelters many such mothers women who, despite giving their all to raise their children, have been left behind. Forgotten by their own, they now live in quiet corners, far away from the love they once selflessly gave.
These mothers, though abandoned, have not lost their purity. Their eyes still shine with kindness. Their hands still rise to bless. Their hearts still beat with love even for strangers. They are not broken, just waiting… waiting for a gesture of affection, a touch of care.
As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s time for us to look beyond our homes and see these invisible mothers. Let us open our hearts to them not out of pity, but out of respect, gratitude, and humanity.
